A beautiful autumn retreat in the mountains of Japan, this retreat was a deep dive into stillness, self-trust, and clarity. Designed for those ready to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what matters, it offered a mix of guided coaching, embodied practices, and cultural immersion — all held in a calm, grounding rhythm.

We stayed in a rustic family run inn surrounded by pine trees and autumn mist. Mornings began slowly with somatic movement, journaling, and coaching prompts to help participants tune into their inner knowing. Afternoons brought quiet adventure: hiking with a forest-dwelling ninja, joining a remote village festival, learning the meditative rituals of Japanese papermaking and tea ceremony.

This retreat was made even more special through the partnership of a local co-host Hiromi, a long-time resident and cultural guide whose deep knowledge of the region brought depth and meaning to every experience. Her presence helped bridge language, tradition, and deeper connection with place, from hidden temples to the story behind the tea.

In 2018, guests at the Ubud retreat experienced a powerful blend of challenging yoga and meaningful connection in a luxurious boutique retreat space overlooking a lush rainforest. Morning yoga helped everyone ground themselves and tune into their bodies, setting the tone for deeper self-awareness throughout the day.


The retreat offered creative cultural experiences like mandala making and watching traditional Balinese dance, which brought a sense of calm and inspiration. Beyond the activities, there was a strong focus on connection through group work and coaching circles, creating a safe space for sharing, reflection, and personal growth. Many guests formed lasting friendships, finding support and community in the process. Guests also benefited from one-on-one coaching and massages, with some choosing sound healing sessions to support relaxation and emotional restoration. The balance of structure and free time allowed everyone to find their own pace, making the retreat both therapeutic and deeply nurturing.
